Terms & Conditions
Effective date: 10 September 2026
About these Terms
These Terms & Conditions apply when you use suitcase.ie or purchase an eSIM, data plan or related service from us.
suitcase.ie is the customer-facing brand for this service. Purchases made through suitcase.ie are contracted with HolidayData.ie. Company registration number: Not applicable. Customer support: help@suitcase.ie.
ESIM ACCESS LIMITED, trading as eSIM Access, supplies the underlying eSIM connectivity. It is the supplier and is not the contracting seller.
In these Terms, “suitcase.ie” identifies the customer-facing service. “We”, “us” and “our” mean HolidayData.ie. “You” and “customer” mean the person purchasing or using our services.
By placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under Irish or EU consumer law.
Our service
suitcase.ie provides travel connectivity products, principally eSIM data plans that allow compatible mobile devices to access supported mobile networks in specified destinations.
The plan-specific information displayed before purchase will apply to your order, including:
- destination or geographic coverage
- data allowance
- validity period
- supported network or networks
- activation conditions
- speed restrictions
- fair-use conditions
- other plan-specific conditions
Third-party networks
We may use third-party telecommunications providers and eSIM platforms to provide the underlying connectivity.
suitcase.ie does not control mobile network infrastructure and cannot guarantee continuous coverage, particular network speeds or connectivity at every location.
Orders
You must provide accurate information when placing an order, including a valid email address.
An order is accepted when we confirm the order and make the relevant eSIM available to you.
We may reject or cancel an order where:
- payment has not been authorised
- fraud or misuse is suspected
- a pricing or product-description error has occurred
- the requested service is unavailable
- fulfilling the order would breach law, regulation or supplier requirements
Cancellation by us
Where we cancel an order before the service has been supplied, amounts paid for that order will ordinarily be refunded.
Prices and payment
The total price payable will be displayed before you confirm your order. Prices will include applicable taxes where required.
You will not be charged an additional amount unless it has been disclosed before purchase or you separately authorise it.
Payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not necessarily receive or store your complete payment-card details.
Device compatibility
It is your responsibility to check that the device on which you intend to use the eSIM:
- supports eSIM technology
- is network unlocked
- supports the relevant network frequencies
- permits installation of an additional eSIM
- has compatible software
- has not been restricted by your mobile operator, employer, device administrator or manufacturer
Compatibility information
We provide compatibility information to help you make this assessment. You should check compatibility before purchasing.
Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights where information supplied by us about compatibility was incorrect or misleading.
Delivery
eSIMs are digital products.
Following successful payment, your eSIM will normally be made available electronically using one or more of:
- your suitcase.ie account or order page
- a QR code
- an activation code
- another digital installation method
Timing
Delivery times shown on the website are estimates unless expressly stated otherwise.
Installation and activation
Installation and activation are not necessarily the same thing.
Some eSIMs may be installed before travelling but should not be activated or connected to the destination network until the appropriate time. The activation rules applicable to your particular plan will be displayed with the product or installation instructions.
You are responsible for following those instructions. Do not delete an installed eSIM unless instructed to do so by suitcase.ie support. Some eSIM profiles or activation codes cannot simply be reused after deletion.
Network availability and performance
Actual network performance can be affected by matters outside our control, including:
- geographic coverage
- network congestion
- local infrastructure
- buildings and terrain
- device capability
- network maintenance
- local regulation
- roaming arrangements
- actions of the underlying telecommunications provider
Network technology
A plan advertised as supporting a particular technology, such as 4G or 5G, does not guarantee that technology will be available continuously.
Data usage
Your device may consume data automatically through activities including:
- operating-system updates
- cloud synchronisation
- photo or video backups
- app updates
- streaming
- hotspot or tethering
- background application activity
Managing usage
You are responsible for managing your device settings and data consumption. Usage recorded by the underlying network provider will normally be used when determining consumption of the purchased allowance.
Permitted use
You must not use our services:
- unlawfully
- fraudulently
- to interfere with a telecommunications network
- to transmit malicious software
- for abusive or prohibited communications
- for unauthorised resale
- to circumvent technical restrictions
- in breach of applicable telecommunications or sanctions laws
Network management
Underlying operators may impose reasonable network-management and acceptable-use conditions.
Cancellation and refunds
Your cancellation and refund rights are explained in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Your eSIM is delivered immediately after payment, but activation and plan validity follow the rule shown for your particular plan.
Where Irish or EU law gives you rights in relation to defective, incorrectly described or non-conforming digital content or services, those rights continue to apply regardless of this policy.
Customer support
If you experience difficulty installing or using an eSIM, contact us as soon as reasonably possible at help@suitcase.ie.
Please provide your order reference and sufficient information for us to investigate the issue.
We may ask for device information, settings or screenshots where reasonably necessary to diagnose the problem. Do not send passwords or other unnecessary sensitive information.
Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful or affects your mandatory consumer rights.
Subject to those rights, we are not responsible for losses resulting solely from circumstances outside our reasonable control, including failures of local telecommunications networks, device faults, network outages or restrictions imposed by local authorities.
Customers should not rely on an eSIM as their sole means of accessing emergency assistance where alternative communications are reasonably available.
Changes to services
We may update these Terms or our services for legal, regulatory, security, technical or operational reasons.
Changes will not retrospectively remove rights already acquired in relation to completed purchases. The latest Terms will be available on suitcase.ie.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by Irish law.
If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the European Union, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer protections applicable in your country of residence.
